Toigo Orchards in Shippensburg Pennsylvania is situated on acreage within close proximity to major markets like New York City and the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. The area was originally settled in the mid 1700’s because of its mild climate and fertile soil, rich in limestone. Mark Toigo’s parents purchased the farm in the 1960’s and have made a gradual transition from fruit and grains to primarily fruit orchards. They grow 100’s of varieties and are always testing new, promising ones. The Orchard is primarily apple, peach and pear trees but they also have several acres devoted to melon, strawberry, blackberry and raspberry production.
