No matter how well you plan, emergencies sometimes
happen. A banquet count increases, a last-minute function comes
up, or business is just unusually good. Keany Produce Company
has the solution. We were the first in the area to set up a special
"hot-shot" service, and our distinctive Keany Express
vans are known for delivering urgent orders "in the nick
of time." By teaming with Keany Produce Company, busy chefs
and purchasing agents can set their produce worries aside. We're
at the dock early in the morning and on the phones all day in
case an unexpected problem arises. That's our commitment to your
success.
Keany Produce Company delivers six days per week.
As opposed to many companies, we have a generous cut-off time
for placing daily orders. For most items, just give us a call
before 10 P.M. for delivery the next morning. Some specialty items
and quantity pre-cut orders should be placed by noon for the following
day. We have recently installed a new computer system that automatically
enters and routes each order when placed. Additionally, it makes
real-time adjustments to inventory to enable reliable forecasting
and complete order fulfillment. We are direct receivers, purchasing
from many of the country's best known growers and shippers --
and we maintain the area's most extensive variety of superior
quality fruits and vegetables. Our gourmet selection is legendary,
and if it's not in stock, we can usually provide it within a day
or so.
We set prices for the week each Monday. They run
from Tuesday through the following Monday subject to occasional
changes because of unforeseen market fluctuations. We have a detailed
price sheet with over seven hundred different produce items conveniently
categorized for easy reference. On request, we will customize
a sheet reflecting your house market list and specifications.
Price sheets can be sent by fax or mail. They can also be delivered
with Tuesday orders. We are proud to be the first produce company
in the Washington area to subscribe to the Tibersoft Commerce.
The Tibersoft Commerce network
allows customers to access their price sheets and place orders
via the internet. Give us a call for more information. We prepare
a Chef's Specialty List that is available on request and is also
posted on our web site. We were the first in the Washington area
to provide a Produce Market Report and have supplemented it with
our innovative Fresh Picks feature. We offer these each week to
our customers to summarize current trends, showcase seasonal products
and offer helpful information, tips and recipes. We pioneered
"Cost Plus" pricing and other special partnership programs
for volume users. We will be happy to discuss a customized purchasing
plan for your establishment. We can also provide monthly usage
reports, enabling purchasing agents and chefs to have an accurate
record of costs and consumption.
